What we collect
When you sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. This information is used to create and identify your FindADate account.
What we don't collect
Your Google Calendar event data is never stored on our servers. Calendar data is fetched directly by your browser and is never transmitted to FindADate.
How we use your data
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Creating and managing your account
- Powering event planning features such as proposing dates, voting on availability, and locking in plans
- Sending email notifications about events you are involved in
Google Calendar integration
FindADate requests read-only access to your Google Calendar. This data is processed entirely in your browser to show your availability alongside proposed event dates. We never store, log, or transmit your calendar events.
Email notifications
FindADate sends email notifications when you are invited to an event, when a date is locked in for an event you are part of, and when someone responds to an event you created. You can manage your notification preferences from Settings > Profile.
Data storage
Your account data is stored securely in a PostgreSQL database. We do not sell or share your personal information.
Data deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings > Profile. This permanently removes all your data.
Revoking access
You can revoke FindADate's access to your Google account at any time by visiting myaccount.google.com/permissions and removing FindADate from your list of connected apps.
